Hello Everyone!

Exciting News!  The Launch Pad, Prescott's new Teen Center,  is open and hosting after school hours from 3-6pm at 882 Sunset St. (behind True Value at the Granite Peak Unitarian Universalist Congregation).  We will be open M-F from 3-6pm and we will be hosting weekend and evening events beginning next month.  We will send out an events calendar in the next week. Please help us spread the word and send your teens our way!  This is not our grand opening.  We will have a grand opening paired with some Holiday Fun in December.  Date TBA.

We do need help with making signs and gathering supplies.  If you would like to stop by on one of the weekdays to volunteer we would love to have you.  Please reply to this email with days and times that you would be able to help.

Here is a Wish List of supplies that we need.  If you would like to donate some of the following supplies or if you have some of it that is used but in good condition and you would not mind getting rid of please let us know.  Thank you for your support!

The Launch Pad Wish List:

Art Supplies: Everything from markers to paper, scissors and glue.

School Supplies: We would like to have some notebook paper, pens, pencils, a calculator, binders and folders, a protractor, and a pencil sharpener (anything else that is similar) on hand for academic tutoring.

Athletic Equipment: Miller Valley School is right next door and they have a field and basketball hoops that we can use.  We would LOVE to have on hand basketballs, soccer balls, frisbees, a long double dutch jump rope, jerseys (the kind you can put over your shirt so we can have teams for pick up games), footballs, cones, a hand pump to blow up balls, extra needles for blowing up balls, a whiffle ball set, and any other fun active equipment.

Media: We are looking for movies, a DVD player, a gaming device (XBox, Nintendo, Wii, etc. etc.), video games to play, a video camera so teens can make their own films, a digital camera to document all the cool things we will be doing.

Board Games: Do you have an old board game that you would be willing to give us?  Monopoly, Apples to Apples, Batlleship, etc.

Misc: Anything else that could be easily stored but would be a fun activity for our teens.  For example: Devil/juggling sticks, juggling equipment, outdoor games, etc. etc.

Thank You  Everyone!  Please let us know if you are able to help out in any of the above ways.

Sincerely,

Courtney Osterfelt
