MLK Day January 20, 2014 -  A Day On, Not A Day Off

Arizona Serve is coordinating service projects in both Yavapai County and Pima County for this year's Martin Luther King Jr. National Day of Service!

Volunteers in Prescott and Tucson will join hundreds of thousands of Americans who are participating in MLK Day of Service projects in all fifty states as our country continues to honor the legacy of Dr. King by volunteering on this national holiday. On January 20th, 2014 local citizens will come together to make Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service a “Day on, not a day off.”

With a focus on helping those in need  in Arizona, volunteers can participate in meaningful work to help each other grow and connect with a sense of unity and compassion for each other’s efforts. There is no more fitting way to honor Dr. King’s memory than by serving others, particularly those most in need. As Dr. King himself said, “Life’s most urgent and persistent question is: ‘what are you doing for others?’”

Please be sure to dress appropriately for the weather and bring a lunch.  All ages and abilities welcome!

Join the MLK Day Mailing List for Updates!

For this MLK Day 2014, Arizona Serve will host service projects that will go on to support schools, nonprofit organizations, veterans, active military and military families in both Yavapai County and Pima County. We are hosting this day of activities in hopes of inspiring volunteerism throughout the year!
