We loaded up the minivan early on a Wednesday morning with plenty of snacks and craft supplies in tow. All settled in, we dodged through the dicey Tucson traffic and headed north. The scene evokes memories of family road trips but this family isn’t quite what you’d expect. This is my new Arizona Serve family and while I may be ‘grown’ now, I still appreciate the minivans private back seat and the cooler of snacks tucked between my feet.

The point of this journey is to allow Arizona Serve’s Tucson team to get some much-needed face time with our Prescott counterparts. Particularly us five team leads, the AmeriCorps veterans tasked with supporting this year’s incoming members.
