Along with Team Leaders Welton Pride of Nashville Promise Zone (Nashville, TN) and Torri Tuttle of Ecolibrium3 (Duluth, MN), he was able to discuss his journey to AmeriCorps, his responsibilities as a Team Leader, the impact that being a Leader has had on both his personal and professional growth, and what his next steps are after his term ends, among other topics. He also cracked a few jokes, as is his proclivity on a big stage.

IG VISTA Leader FINAL

This was a wonderful experience for him to both share his story of VISTA service and to highlight the incredible work that Arizona Serve’s VISTAs do, as well as bring light to the impact that Arizona Serve has in both Yavapai and Pima Counties. It also helped put Arizona Serve in the national AmeriCorps conversation!

Gianni’s VISTA Team Lead term ends in August and is hoping to transition into federal government work, either with AmeriCorps, Peace Corps, or USAID. In the meantime, he intends on defending his Ph.D. dissertation from Kennesaw State in December.
