Our Recruitment Process

  • Ready to apply?

In order to be eligible to serve as an AmeriCorps member, you must meet these requirements at the start of service:

Be at least 17 years old

Depending on the program, you must have a college degree or some college; high school diploma, or GED; or agree to obtain one while serving

Be a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, or lawful permanent resident alien of the U.S.

  • After we review applications, we will reach out to invite you for an phone informational interview if we feel like your skills and talents are a match.

This is an opportunity for you to learn about our unique AmeriCorps programs in Prescott and Tucson and also ask a lot of questions.

  • After the informational interview, our partner sites then review the candidate’s application.

Second-round interviews are conducted by Arizona Serve staff, along with the supervisor of the organization hosting the AmeriCorps project. You will be asked questions by both Arizona Serve and the site supervisor, as well as have an opportunity to ask your own questions.

  • The selection process is a shared decision between our staff and our partner organizations. We typically extend offers within a week of second-round interviews.

Our goal is to find the right fit for both you and the organization.
