Could an AmeriCorps member help your organization?

Arizona Serve provides organizations in Yavapai County and Pima County with a cost-effective means to grow their capacity and further their mission. By hosting AmeriCorps members, our partners are able to connect refugee families with housing, increase access to healthcare and healthy food options, expand college access programs in low-income high schools, and much more.

Any nonprofit, school, or public agency serving low-income community members in Yavapai or Pima County may apply to host AmeriCorps members through Arizona Serve. Our staff helps recruit motivated and passionate candidates for your project and provides training and support over the course of the member’s term of service.

We accept applications for AmeriCorps State and VISTA members on a rolling basis. Awards are determined by the degree to which the proposed project aligns with grant goals, the applying organization’s capacity to support the AmeriCorps project, and available resources.

AmeriCorps VISTA members help organizations build their capacity to address poverty. These members help organizations develop curriculum, write grants, document systems and processes, pilot new programs, or implement outreach campaigns.

AmeriCorps State members provide direct services for low-income community members. These members tutor students, deliver nutrition education workshops, help connect families with affordable housing, provide Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA), and much more.
